The world is getting crazy. I just don’t understand how many institution tells you not to discriminate and respect one’s feeling but I just don’t see it in this case.

In Boston, they are expanding it’s anti-obesity efforts by requiring the restaurant chains to post calorie counts either at the counter or on the menu. I don’t see nothing wrong with this actually you can see it anywhere now, not only on the menus and fast-food/restaurant counters but also at the napkins.

But, they  also includes a height-weight check for all public school from first-10th-graders, to determine whether they are overweight. Results would be sent home to parents along with a proper diet and nutrition guidelines.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m all into being healthy and stuff but don’t you think the over-weight kids already has an idea that they are overweight? Not only from their pediatricians but also from other kids that picks on them! So why the humiliation at school? It’s not that they can eat Cheetos at school, you know they served crap nutritious foods at the cafeteria so that’s one contribution from school about being healthy.

Anyway, what I am saying is that the parents should be the one to encourage their kids without humiliating them in public. It seems that wherever these kids go, they are measured by their height and weight!  I think they already have a clue!
