This is so sad, 3 VA hospitals were responsible for the 3 people who were exposed for the contaminated medical equipment. One in Tennessee, Georgia and in Florida. There were 10,000 patients who were tested because they were treated with endoscopic equipment that were not properly sanitized. There are also  some reports about patients that are tested positive of Hepatitis B & C  from the same locations.

According to VA that :

There’s no way to prove patients were exposed to the viruses at its facilities, the agency said.

“These are not necessarily linked to any endoscopy issues and the evaluation continues,”

And also that” HIV results “still need to verified in additional test”

Whether if they got the virus from these locations, they still need to reevaluate their medical teams and teach them more about Safety and cleanliness especially the medial tools that they are using to patients. It’s sad to know that these patients are the people who fought for our country and  end up suffering from the hands to whom they trust and  they protected!
