It finally stopped raining but it’s still quite chilly outside and they said that today is supposed to reach into the mid 70′s. I don’t mind chilly weather as long as no snow falling from the sky. I have some flowers growing in the yard but I don’t really care much about it because those are not my favorite flowers and besides we have a plan to reconstruct our yard both front and back and then I can plant some nice flowers and finally will be able to get rid of the ones that the former owner planted. I noticed that the former owners of this house really have a weird taste of what the house looks like. Seriously when we moved in they have these ugly wall papers all over the place and when I say it’s ugly I mean really fugly that it makes you want to have a ekg machines handy because when you see it it kinda give you a heart attack by looking at it! The patterns were ugly and very dark and it makes the whole house dark even with the ugly pink carpet flooring! We changed a lot of stuff including the sidings, the bathrooms, heat & air, kitchen and we just finished installing new floors and no carpet either!Owning a house really put a hole in your pocket but it’s an investment that worth paying for and it is our home that defines who we are and hopefully we will be able to replace the roof and update the yard and throw away those ugly plants and then I could somewhat erase those horrendous wallpaper on my mind! ^-^

We went to the multicultural dinner a while ago and it was very fun and very entertaining. There were a lot of different foods from different cultures for everyone to taste and it was fun. My son was also playing in the jazz band entertaining the folks. There were 2 different bands playing one was jazz band and the other one was a folk band. There is a choir also. When the jazz band played the waltz, there were some couple who danced and it was very sweet looking and I have to give the old man the props for being so romantic. There were also speeches from different students sharing about their cultures and the one that really impressed me was the girl from Ghana who shared the wonderful things they had and that music was their life. They dance with the beat of the hand drums like Cajons and she also told the students how lucky they are here in the US having a wonderful school building and how different it was from her country and that the students here in the US should feel blessed for what they have. She was very articulate and very inspiring and I’m sure she will grow up to be a wonderful and successful woman.
