Pumpkin Pie

We have been preparing some dishes for tomorrow’s dinner and so far I made my very first Pumpkin Pie! yes it’s my 1st trial and it looked good so far, the crust is a little crispy than I expected but I’ll try to make it better next time. I haven’t tasted it yet, it is cooling and I will have to stick it in the fridge here in a little bit so it will be perfectly chilled by tomorrow evening.

We like to plan ahead and we are doing a good job so far. Planning ahead really pays off instead of waiting for the very last minute. I like to save money but I also like to be prepared that is why planning ahead is important just like going on a vacation. We don’t go on lavish vacation because we simply can’t afford it is done yearly. However, we are planning to go somewhere more exotic than TN in a near future and we already know which hotel is better and which airline that would give us the best deal. Of course a travel package suited us best and that also includes a rental car and we are also looking at roadside assistance plan for “in case” situation. I have to hush hush about the vacation plan and I just hope that everything will go as plan so we can go ahead and enjoy ourselves but for now, we’ll have to wait.
Oh, tomorrow will be a busy and hopefully a fun day. happy thanksgiving everyone!

Freaked me out

Okay now I am officially grossed out! I read this report from CNN about hotel hygiene and it’s disturbing. I don’t even want to think that the places I have stayed are this filthy up-close but it made me think twice to choose a next place I will stay if ever we have to. The problem is that when we usually go on a road trip we usually stop at one of the famous chains that are not too heavy in our budget but not too light either. We don’t have the time to inspect everything under microscope and to ask a new comforter would be a risk too! If you ask a new comforter the staff might give you a dirtier one for all we know. You would think that the Department of Health would be more strict when it comes to places like Hotel/ motels. Leaving comforters with bodily fluids and other nasty things unclean for weeks should be penalized big time! Hotel rooms that were previously occupied should be cleaned thoroughly, wouldn’t it be easier and nicer if you get nice reviews even if you spend a lot in cleaning? Better reviews mean more customers. So why these hotels/motel chains are stingy enough to keep their business afloat? This is disturbing~

Be Ready

Christmas Presents are usually purchased during Black Friday shopping. But sometimes, you want to treat someone special on a wonderful get away and if only I could I would really love to go to a weekend getaway at setai 5th ave. Imagine the city’s finest that is easy accessible , the scene and the lifestyle, the shopping around midtown Manhattan! Oh i f only Santa is nice enough to hear my pleading oh please, please I have been extra good this year.. can you just Take me away? To that luxury place… that is so don’t be confused where to take me Santa!

A Wish

Oh the joy of parenthood. I was asking my daughter on what does she want for her birthday and she just told me that she want to see the Disney Princesses. I have to admit I have been promising that we will go and do family things and I am actually saving for this type of vacation and I know where to get some very affordable Orlando vacation packages and I promised myself that I will take my kids to places like the DisneyWorld and even the Universal Studios. I do want to go when I think everybody is ready though. I want my kids to be ready and not be afraid in riding those rides, I want them to be able to willing to walk the entire park because I don’t want to go and then ended up renting one of those strollers and I want to hear and have a good time instead of hearing complaints! But I will take them if not next year, the year after coz I don’t want to take them when they are too big and too cool for family theme parks!Like they said , let them have fun while they are young!

Scary

Someone scary is about to scare us again and I think it’s about to air again this week! Remake of the classic Nightmare on Elm Street really looked good on the preview and I just hope that it will be as good as the original one and I do actually hope that it is going to be a better one than the original. I know it’s unlikely but maybe it will.

Summer is about to come and we are going to visit grandma. It’s been a while since we came and visit her and I think she has one of those walk in bathtubs installed in her house since she is having a hard time using her regular tub/shower. I know that my kids are excited to see her and we do too, seeing her happy makes me very happy. I can’t wait!

Complaining Love

Have you ever heard your partner talking about how much they sacrificed just for them to be with you? I have probably a million times already! I know how much trouble we’ve been through just to start our own family and you won’t believed how many miles we traveled just to get situated, we looked and rented at least 5 different apartments for rent and finally have our own house to call our home and have been a nest to our expanding family. Anyway, I was just thinking on what kind of gift I should give to my partner in life and I wonder will it be enough to show how big is my love and how grateful I am with all the sacrifices we both gave just to be with each other!

There’s another one to be complain about during winter is potholes! There’s potholes all over it’s from snow-plowers and hopefully they will fix the big ones first. I saw couple of people working on couple of roads but there are more to go. I hate to be driving and all of a sudden you get a flat tire and then someone will slam their breaks on you and wham! Even with a fast roadside assistance service, it is still a hassle dealing with flat tire, traffic caused by you and the time you wasted because of the accident. Not only potholes can give you a flat tire but also, it will mess your suspension and alignment. I do hope that winter will go away so that we won’t be dealing with more snows and that the Dept. of Roads will be able to fix those nasty potholes.

Frigid Cold

As much as I like looking at the pretty view of Winter, I think I am ready for it to be over. In some states, they considered this winter to be there worst! There are many people died because of accident and the frigid cold. There are people who died while cleaning their driveway and that is somewhat shocking. I was looking online at Outer Banks vacation rentals and I am very ready for the Spring and the summer to come especially if you to nice places with wonderful view. It’s been fun sledding , building snowman and throwing snow balls but I just want this winter to be over
